Nemertea (57411)
Nemerteans, or ribbonworms, are lie and wait predators that use neurotoxins to stun and kill their prey. They are epifaunal and infaunal organisms that may be found up to 50 cm beneath floor, and are frequent predators of the eggs of molluscans and crustaceans. When it comes to being preyed upon, nemerteans have very few predators since their skin contains poisonous chemicals that make them extremely unpalatable.
